My first Thanksgiving(2010) in the US It was first Thanksgiving for me in the US. Like the Chuseok, the biggest holiday in Korea, many American families are gathering together to celebrate their holiday and to eat a big turkey. Since I don't have any relatives in America, I don't have anyone to meet and anyplace to go. 어느덧 미국 온지 두달째.. 안녕하세요. 아침형라이더입니다. 자전거를 좋아하는 라이더인데.. 아쉽게도 달리다가 넘어져서 무릎이 까졌네요.흠 어느덧 미국온지 두달 정도 되어가는데 기억을 잊지 않기 위해서 끄적끄적 해봅니다. 사실 영어 공부하러 왔는데, 두달동안 한국말이 많이 늘었습니다. 미국에 온다고 해서 하루종일 영어쓰고 미국인과 대화하는건 아니었습니다. (미국만 오면 다 될줄 알았죠...) 한국에서 스피킹 공부하는것도 크게 다를것이 없는데. 신기한건 한국사람은 문법을 잘하고 말을 잘 못하는 반면에 외국친구들은 문법은 약한것 같은데..(제 생각입니다) 말은 굉장히 잘합니다. 한국친구들도 중요하지만, 미국에 영어 공부하러 온 외국 친구들과 친해지는 방법도 영어를 배울수 있는 좋은 방법이네요. 폴란드 친구 생일이라고 생일파티도 해주었네.. 2010. 9. 21.
소소한 미국 생활 1. iPhone 3GS 개통 전화기 없는 생활을 하다보니, 저에게 전화하려는 사람만 답답할줄 알았는데,, 저도 답답하더군요 그래서 prepaid phone(선불폰)으로 3주 정도 지내봤는데. 전화기도 좋지 않고, 음성 사서함으로 넘어가도 1분씩 차감되고 하여, 준비해간 아이폰으로 개통을 하였습니다. 신기하게도 해킹하고 언락만 해서 가지고 가니, 10분만에 개통이 처리 되더군요.. 미국에는 한국에서 구입한 아이폰을 해킹, 언락하면 사용하기에 전혀 문제가 없습니다. 대신 요금제가 비싸다는거죠.. 받는것도 돈을 받으니.. 한국에서는 3G를 이용한 인터넷까지 했었는데.. 그건 요금이 비싸서. 그냥 문자 무제한에, 500분 통화가 되는 요금제로 선택했습니다. 그것도 매달 39.99에 텍스까지 하면.. 암튼, 전.. 2010. 8. 22.
