About me/Keeping a Journal31 [잡생각]2011년 9월 29일(목) 좋아하는 일을 하면서 지내야 시간이 잘간다. 다 생각하기 나름이겠지만, 내가 좋아하는 일은 무엇일까? 진정 웹쪽, 서버쪽, 네트워크쪽 일인 것인가? 아님, 호스팅 업체와 통화해서 이것저것 물어보는 것인가? 한국에서 했던 고민들을 역시나 여기서도 하고 있다. 컴퓨터나 장비에 문제가 있을때 고쳐주는것도 좋아하는데.. DOS의 Dir을 좋아하고, Linux의 ls -al도 좋아하고.. 서버 관련된 일을 찾아보는편이 좋겠다. 라우터 장비에 관련된 일도. "끌림 - 이병률 산문집" 이란 책을 다시 읽게 되었다. 어쩜 그렇게 글을 감질맛 나게 쓰셨는지. 읽고, 또 읽게 된다. 소장하고 싶고, 시간 날때마다 자주 읽으면 읽을수록 끌리는 책이다. 여행이라는 것을 하면서, 내가 하지 못하는 색다른 경험들이 있어서 그런지.. 2011. 9. 30. [벌금]미국에서 운전, 벌금 티켓 종류들. 면허를 취득한것은 10년전쯤, 대학 입학후에 친구 어머니 가게 옆집에 야매(?)로 싸게 운전연수를 시켜준다고 해서 면허를 따긴 땄는데, 10년 동안 10번 정도 운전을 하고,(후진하다 턱에 부딪히는 사고경험도 있다.) 미국에 오기 전에 당당하게 면허증을 갱신하여, 새 운전면허증으로 가지고 오게 되었다. 미국이란 나라가 불편하게도 시내(downtown)에 살지 않으면, 차가 없으면 굉장히 불편하다.(한시간에 3대 정도 버스가 다닌다. 버스도 지하철 처럼 예정된 시간에 정확하게 오곤 한다.) 그래서 나도 차를 사고난 중고차를 구매하여, 수리하여서 잘 타고 다닌다.(감사합니다. 정회장님!) 몇가지 티켓을 받은 경험을 나눠보자~ 1. My first Thanksgiving(2010) in the US It was first Thanksgiving for me in the US. Like the Chuseok, the biggest holiday in Korea, many American families are gathering together to celebrate their holiday and to eat a big turkey. Since I don't have any relatives in America, I don't have anyone to meet and anyplace to go.
